Pay and Performance [Top]
Pay and performance are directly linked at NCCI. Base pay reflects the job knowledge and education; skills and responsibilities; and level of supervision or work direction expected for a particular job. Additionally, NCCI will offer the greatest financial rewards to those individuals whose performance and contributions to results are superior.

All full-time and part-time employees at NCCI are eligible to participate in NCCI’s Incentive Compensation Plan. Generally, a lump-sum cash award is made in the first quarter of the calendar year for the previous year’s results.

Each year, performance will be assessed, and pay increases will be based upon performance; a combination of what is accomplished and how it was achieved that contribute to the success of the department and division, plus the company performance and ability to fund increases. Employees may also receive pay increases for promotions or market adjustments.

Medical/Dental/Vision [Top]
All full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible to enroll for coverage upon being hired. Eligible dependents such as spouse, a qualified domestic partner, and dependent children who are under age 26 may also be enrolled.

Medical coverage is available on day one of employment, provided through the CIGNA Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or CIGNA Preferred Provider Option (PPO) Plan. Plans may differ by location but will include physical exams, health screenings, office visits, prescription drugs, hospital services, and more.

Dental coverage offers two options, either CIGNA Dental PPO or CIGNA Dental HMO. The NCCI vision plan is available through CompBenefits.

Flexible Spending Accounts [Top]
Pre-tax Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are available to help make the most of the money spent on eligible out-of-pocket costs. Employees can contribute up to $2,500 per year to the Healthcare FSA for deductibles, copayments, and additional medical, dental, or vision costs considered tax deductible by the IRS. They can also set aside up to $5,000 per year in the Dependent Care FSA to cover day care costs for children, parents, or adult dependents who needs supervision.

Retirement Savings Plans [Top]
NCCI recognizes the importance of preparing for the future and is ready to help employees get there with our Retirement Plan and 401(k) Employee Savings Plan from day one. The Retirement Plan is a 100% company-funded cash balance account, with a portability feature and a dollar value that grows every year worked for NCCI.

We also offer a 401(k) Employee Savings Plan that gives the opportunity to save and invest tax-deferred earnings. We match 100% of each dollar, up to the first 6% of your contributions. In addition, NCCI will make a supplemental company contribution of 4% of total earnings.

Income Protection [Top]
Our disability plans provide a source of income if a medical condition keeps employees from working, while life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage can give financial peace of mind.

  • Short-Term Disability—For conditions that render employees disabled and unable to work, the short-term disability plan pays benefits for up to 26 weeks. NCCI pays the full cost of this coverage. The plan pays 70% of annual compensation up to specified plan limits.
  • Long-Term Disability—If a covered disability lasts for more than 26 weeks, the long-term disability plan, paid for by NCCI, continues to provide benefits until recovery or Medicare eligibility. The plan pays 60% of annual compensation up to specified plan limits.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)—The accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) plan, paid for by NCCI, gives additional protection in the event an employee dies in an accident or is seriously injured
  • Life Insurance—NCCI provides life insurance equal to one times annual compensation.
  • Business Travel Insurance—NCCI provides a business travel plan with protection for business-related travel accidents.

Paid Time Off [Top]
NCCI recognizes the importance of paid time off (PTO) to help employees maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. PTO combines vacation, personal, and absence days into one flexible bank of time that can be used as needed. Days are accrued based on length of service and pay grade, ranging from 20 to 35 days per year. PTO is prorated during the first year of employment.

Holidays
NCCI generally provides seven designated paid holidays each calendar year. The exact dates are announced before the beginning of each calendar year.


Tuition Reimbursement Program [Top]
The NCCI Tuition Reimbursement Program provides financial assistance for tuition costs, registration fees, and books for degree seeking programs. The course work and degree must be related to the position or to a position that an employee has a reasonable expectation of achieving within NCCI. Participation in the program is available after six months of service, upon approval by the manager.

Reimbursement is contingent upon successful completion of these courses at regionally accredited institutions.

NCCI also supports the pursuit of professional designations and certification programs appropriate to career advancement and the company’s business.
